WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR - RED LAKE FALLS

Position Overview:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Materials Placement and Control team. In this role, you will oversee and monitor the workload and activities such as verification of purchased material, incoming and outgoing fabricated components, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current. You will manage inventory and the flow of parts for Production, Warehouse, Inter Branch Transfers, other business locations and material moves. Through effective leadership and direction to your team members, you will create a positive and productive environment that exceeds department goals.

Responsibilities:
Must be able to…
- Supervise and direct the day-to-day operations of the Materials Placement and Control department
- Ensure that business goals, deadlines and performance standards are met daily
- Promote sound employee relationships within the department by developing and maintaining an effective organization with qualified personnel
- Provide direction, leadership, development, and support to direct reports through empowerment, teamwork, and on-the-job assignments
- Train and onboard new employees in the team’s operating procedures and standards ensuring understanding of their roles
- Champion,
follow, and enforce all company safety guidelines and initiatives
- Ensure timely delivery of parts/materials to and from various
departments
- Track inventory, stage, storage and disposition of parts along
with managing warehouse supplies to support production and material flow
- Improve inventory accuracy through monitoring of daily warehouse
activities, cycle counts, location accuracy along with receiving procedures and
audits
- Resolve inventory discrepancies quickly and effectively
- Improve methods and processes to increase productivity and quality while reducing costs
- Organize and maintain warehouse and storage of materials flowing through the plant and other business locations
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Minimum/Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Proficient with MS Office Suite and able to learn and efficiently use other internal software systems such as ERP system
- Excellent Leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate employees and create an environment that fosters continuous improvement and teamwork
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and strong project management skills
- Strong communication (written and oral) and able to professionally interact across all levels of the organization and business partners

Preferred Qualifications/Selection Criteria:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Management, Supply Chain, Business or a manufacturing discipline preferred
- Material/Warehouse experience
- Leadership and supervisory skills
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and other continuous process improvement methods
Physical Requirements such as below:
- May spend a portion of the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
- Physical requirements include sitting, squatting, walking, reaching out to arm’s length, reaching over-head, and lifting 55 pounds
- May spend a portion of the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
