Position Overview:

The Marketing Assistant I works closely with the marketing team by assisting with marketing plans and strategies for Central Boiler, Altoz and WoodMaster. In this role, you will create marketing materials such as promo flyers, marketing newsletter, banners, decals and signage. You will also provide administrative support as needed such as ordering supplies, monitoring print projects, and tracking of costs and time schedules for multiple projects. You will assist other departments as needed such as answering phones, processing mail, counting and receiving new promotional items or clothing.


Must be able to:

  • Work closely with supervisor and marketing team
  • Assist with graphic design projects such as promo flyers, marketing newsletter, banners, decals and signage
  • Order supplies as needed for copiers, laminator, and printers in the Marketing area
  • Prepare cost estimates for projects within quality specifications, financial constraints and time schedule
  • Complete project costing work sheets for community and personal projects and forward appropriately for processing
  • Understand and follow instructions and procedures
  • Trim, grommet, and laminate projects as needed
  • Assist with maintaining the Dealer promotional display/wall and update as required
  • Monitor print projects for color accuracy and current content
  • Operate a large format printer and laminator including handling and installing large rolls of paper or other print media
  • Calibrate printers/copier, perform print tests and cleanings as needed and prior to any large print jobs on the wide format printers
  • Operate laser engraver for engraving data plates and other materials as requested
  • Assist other departments (Reception and Order Audit) as needed and perform back up administrative assistance with work orders including packaging, labeling and delivering completed work
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • High School diploma, GED or relevant work experience
  • Experience with computers for a variety of tasks
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize workload
  • Manage multiple priorities, use good judgment, and effectively/efficiently meet deadlines
  • Work well independently and in a team environment
  • Accurate and thorough to produce high quality work
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated and flexible to adjust to changing priorities
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, sense of responsibility and self-motivation
  • Collaborate and build excellent relationships with cross-functional teams

  • Experience with PhotoShop, Illustrator and able to learn other marketing software tools as needed

Preferred Qualifications/Selection Criteria:

  • 2-year degree in Marketing/Graphic Design or a related field or relevant work experience
  • Basic photography experience helpful

Physical Requirements such as below:

  • Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen, performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head and other parts of the body. May include bending, squatting, reaching and lifting. There could be occasional lifting of heavy materials when installing large rolls of paper or other print media.
