Position Overview:

The Show and Event Coordinator is responsible for organizing and attending consumer shows and national/local events for Central Boiler, Altoz and WoodMaster. This is a hands-on position, responsible for all aspects of the show including, organizing, coordinating, preparing/staging all necessary materials, loading/unloading, and setting up/tearing down displays and assisting the Show and Event Manager as needed. Travel and overtime required, and you must have a valid class A CDL and Health Card.

To be successful in this role you should enjoy travelling for up to 2 weeks at a time along with driving a company truck cross country. You should demonstrate the ability to organize all aspects of events and trade shows and have a passion for successful execution and staging of displays and products to show case Central Boiler, Altoz and WoodMaster products.


Must be able to:

  • Complete all pre-event preparations and staging of products
  • Load and unload company truck
  • Complete set up and tear down duties at shows and events
  • Conduct final inspections the day of the event (e.g. tables, technology) ensuring adherence to sales and marketing team’s expectations and standards
  • Complete all administrative tasks, including a pre-travel agenda, a recap report of business travel, and accurate accounting of materials used and expenses for travel and lodging
  • Evaluate event’s success, recommend improvements, and submit reports
  • Maintain the condition and inventory of Marketing exhibits and materials needed for promotional events
  • Troubleshoot, problem solve and elevate any issues to leadership
  • Drive company truck, truck/trailers and move any products such as outdoor power equipment
  • Perform all tasks with a safety mindset including completing and passing forklift certification
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
  • Valid Class A CDL license and Health Card
  • Intermediate mechanical aptitude and use of hand tools
  • Basic computer skills with MS Office experience
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, strong sense of responsibility, self-motivated
  • Promote and follow all company safety guidelines and initiatives
  • Represent the company in a professional, positive, and friendly manner
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Central Boiler, Altoz and WoodMaster products
  • Willing to travel and work overtime as needed
  • Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to build relationships with dealers and customers
  • Composed during stressful situations
  • Work efficiently with the ability to prioritize daily workload

Preferred Qualifications/Selection Criteria:

  • Able to travel to Canada a plus
  • Experience traveling and driving cross-country
  • Knowledge and experience with coordinating all aspects of consumer shows and events
  • Customer Service experience helpful

Physical Requirements such as below:

  • Capable of lifting 55 lbs., climbing ladders, loading/unloading trucks, operating large power equipment (e.g., mowers), connecting trailers, physically able to set up set up and tear down displays, and able to us hand tools as needed
  • Standing, sitting, squatting, walking, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and reaching out to arm’s length and overhead
  • Cross country driving a truck with a trailer
  • Portion of the workday may include sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse, and monitor
